1. Miami Marketta
It could be the backstreets of Thailand, Barcelona or New York City, but it is right here at Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast. Every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights, Miami comes alive with foods of all nationalities, complete with a dessert hall. The Cargo Bar and Marketta Café serve boutique wine and locally brewed beer, and our Wine & Cocktail bar serving up Markettas speciality cocktails. A main stage hosts local blues, jazz, roots independent artist, adding a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere. Open and free to the public from 4pm, Marketta Street food is the original and first Street Food market on the Gold Coast.
2. Chinatown Street Markets
Come and enjoy an authentic Asian food experience with your family and friends at the Chinatown Street Markets. Gold Coast Chinatown – in the heart of Gold Coast CBD – will come alive with Asian culture, children’s activities, delicious food and entertainment. Disembark at the Southport station, Nerang Street if you Ride the G:link. The markets operate from 5pm to 9pm, centred on Young and Davenport Streets, Southport. Below are the dates for 2019:
3. Marina Mirage Farmer’s Market
Indoors, under the cool white sails at Marina Mirage, the Gourmet Farmer’s Market is held undercover EVERY Saturday morning from 7am until 12 noon, with an emphasis on organic, paleo, gluten-free and spray-free products + an opportunity to meet the growers. Showcasing freshly-picked farm produce and hand-crafted local artisan delicacies.
4. Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets
Each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night, treasure hunters, bargain spotters and after-dinner walkers make their way to the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets to wander along the coastal stretch of more than 120 market stalls, while live entertainers set a casual mood in their performance. One of the largest of the Gold Coast Night Markets, the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets feature a variety of premium products, including fashion, jewellery, accessories, artworks, photographs, beauty products and homewares.
5. Gold Coast Beachfront Art & Craft Markets
Shopping for gifts, souvenirs, art, craft, the ingenious, weird and the wonderful, has never been easier. Just come along to the Gold Coast’s famous art and craft markets, held on Sundays on the fabulous Broadbeach, Coolangatta and Burleigh beach-fronts. Large colourful and a-buzz with atmosphere, these markets boast over 150 stalls showcasing the best and most original of Australian made products. Held 8am – 2pm on:
Broadbeach – Every month on the first and third Sunday
Coolangatta – Second and fourth Sunday
6. Tamborine Mountain Country Markets
Tamborine Mountain Country Markets are held 8am – 2pm on the 2nd Sunday of each month at the Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds. With over 200 stalls there is something for everyone from original arts, crafts, clothing, potions and jewellery. Listen to some awesome musicians, watch artists at work. Enjoy your children’s laughter as they transformed with face paints, ride a pony, wreck a jeep or jump merrily on a castle. Relax and lay back on the green grass under the blue sky and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
7. Bundall Farmers Market
Every Sunday morning from 6am – 11.30am the Bundall Farmers’ Market is a hive of activity with local farmers bringing their just-picked produce to the market for local residents and visitors alike. The Bundall Farmers’ Market is honest, and it’s packed with produce and gourmet foods to delight your senses. Indulge the senses, relax, taste, wander and unwind as you discover the Evandale Lake at the rear of the market. Grab a coffee and some breakfast or brunch and immerse yourself in the local food culture of the Gold Coast. After you’ve checked out the farmer’s market, wander round to the outdoor stage and learn some dance moves before trying them out to live music at Dancing on the Green. This free, fun social dance features a different theme each month.
