Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World

Set on 110 acres Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World are positioned high on the escarpment and covers more than 18 acres. This hidden treasure is a panorama of waterfalls, ponds, colourful plantings and manicured lawns. The gardens boast the backdrop of the spectacular Glasshouse Mountains – a wonderous view. Enjoy a Devonshire Tea in one the gazebos or bring your own picnic lunch.

Bird World consists of four walk-through aviaries with over 700 hundred birds from around the world. Sit near the waterfall, watch, listen and photograph them as they alight upon you at the Maleny Botanic Gardens.

Children’s activities include:

Fairy Tale Garden, Aviary & Giant chair, Walk-on fishing boat (under adult supervision).  Easy access for varying levels of physical ability. Many parts of the Gardens are accessible by wheelchair & there are garden buggies for hire.

Orchid Collection: over 4500 partly rare orchids throughout the Gardens, Collection of ancient Cycads.  We have over 2000 roses in our rose garden.
