Spend a few hours on the tranquil island paradise of Stradbroke Island, an absolute haven for snorkelers. Also called ‘Straddie’, this 21km long sand island is largely undeveloped and car-free, perfect for those looking for some ultimate rest and relaxation. Visit Wavebreak Island as well with Australian Kayaking Adventures, where you can snorkel with hundreds of subtropical fish right off the beach.

Spot stingrays, turtles, and dolphins as you go, and listen to the friendly and knowledgeable guide sharing informative commentary about the region’s ecology and animals. Marvel at pelicans and sea eagles flying through the air, too! If you’re kayaking between May-Nov, you may even be lucky enough to see migrating whales. How to get to Australian Kayaking Adventures:

• Nearest bus stop is Gold Coast Hwy at Grand Hotel (bus no. 704 and 711); get off the bus and turn right onto Marine Parade; walking straight for 2 minutes. The destination is on your left side
• We also offer free hotel pick up from Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach
• Please call us at 0412 940 135 to re-confirm the pickup details after booking is confirmed
• The Tour Departs from the northern boat ramp in Marine Parade, Labrador (just in front of the Grand Hotel)

Tour Itinerary:

• 7:00am hotel pick up
• 7:30am meet up
• 8:30am breakfast on the beach
• 9:00am snorkeling and kayaking on Wavebreak island
• 10:30am paddling to Stradbroke island
• 12:00pm tour ends, drop off at hotel

The dolphins are wild dolphins. Please do not disturb them in their natural environment. They can be seen approx. 80% of the time, but it is not guaranteed
