Waterfront Brunch with the Easter Bunny
Get the family together and start the weekend right by booking a table at Anchor Buoy for brunch. Their location on the Marina makes for a great view, and their breakfast menu spans from a classic bacon and egg roll to smoked salmon croquettes, so rest assured there’s something for everyone!
At 10am the Easter Bunny will pay a visit and hand out chocolates to the kids (and maybe the big kids too). If you can’t make it on Saturday, Anchor Buoy is also open on Easter Sunday and the Easter Bunny will be visiting then as well.
Easter Themed Goodies at Cabana Kids
After brunch, head to Cabana Kids to stock up on last minute Easter presents. Peruse beautifully bespoke gifts like gold detailed bunny ornaments and delicately painted Easter themed mugs; or treat the little ones to a bunny cot mobile, and Ruby Red Shoes book. The Easter Bunny will be paying a visit to Cabana Kids at 11am, so we recommend timing your visit then!
Free, Live Music From 12pm on Saturday and Sunday, there will be fantastic live music and free Easter eggs for the kids. Our lineup of artists will have you laying back with a wine and relishing in your long weekend.
Saturday on The Village Green
Wes Taylor From Jazzy instrumental dinner music to party time favourites, Wes will surprise you with his virtuosic skills on the guitar, and enthral you with his transportive voice.
Sunday on The Docks Rob McMullen
Rob is without doubt one of Queensland’s finest Jazz and Spanish guitarists. He performs everything from smooth Jazz, Pop and South American classics; to fiery, passionate Spanish Flamenco pieces.
Seafood Lunch
Extend the Easter tradition and enjoy a long lunch of delicious, fresh seafood from a number of Sanctuary Cove’s restaurants. For a fine dining experience or special occasion, Artichoke Restaurant’s three course set menu is full of seafood delights like Northern Territory Barramundi, Yellow Fin Tuna and line caught Red Throat Emperor Fish. For a kid-friendly or more casual setting, George’s Seafood Restaurant or Cove Tavern are our picks. All of their menus feature fresh, local seafood that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Now, we can’t discuss fresh seafood without giving the local prawn trawlers a mention! Visit the trawler team and pick up a bunch of fresh prawns, bugs and crabs. If you’re spending the day at Sanctuary Cove, we recommend visiting the trawlers in the morning before heading to IGA and picking up picnic supplies for a wonderful family picnic lunch. While you’re at IGA, be sure to replenish your stash of Easter chocolates and enter their competition to win a family Easter Hamper!
