Kids Box Workshops
Learn the basics of cardboard engineering and create your own cardboard costume at the infamous Boxwars workshop. Build a true recycled creation to keep and take home with you! To give it a Gold Coast flavour it’s a beach and sea creature theme.
Turn yourself into a shark and convince mum and dad they should fear the water.

Adult Box Workshops
We need your expertise! Calling all adults that want to make, play and do.
Adults will prepare cardboard elements for the battle on Sunday, just don’t let the kids in on your plans.

Boxwars Battle | Surfers (not so) Paradise
Join us for the FREE battle of battles! Families and friends are welcome to turn up and grab some gear take part in an epic Boxwars battle on HOTA turf. Kids nominate an adult to take part as huge cardboard creations duke it out for superiority in an explosive family friendly festival of pointlessness.
To honour Surfers Paradise Boxwars will grant reverence to the great tradition of surfing. How do you surf when your surfboard is made from cardboard?
Prepare for the battle with our adult and kids workshops through the week. All the way from Melbourne and fresh from touring around Australia this is the first time Boxwars will be seen on the Gold Coast.
